The IG droid is so unbelievably well-animated. You can see the momentum of his arms while tracking his targets. And the implementation of how that, otherwise googfy looking, IG-88 in empire strikes back looks is a brilliant interpretation of how he can be so deadly.

I love the way IG moves. Pure mechanical logic. No movement is wasted and is only focused on completing the objective.

I'm glad Mandalorian and Clone Wars showed just how deadly these assassin droids can be.

This is by far the best example of how a machine would navigate a battle in real life. Every shot is on target, there is no wasted motion, and the only limiting factor(s) on it's kill potential is the firing rate of it's blasters and how much ammunition it has. It does not run or move unnecessarily quick unless it's imperative to be at a certain place at a certain time. It barely even registers hits unlike other "sci fi machines" that are usually animated to flinch or twitch at being shot in a crude attempt at getting the audience to feel sympathy or connection with it. The little detail at 2:40 is also important, notice how it just barely moves itself out of the line of fire, then steps back with deliberate action against the pillar.

360° sight and rotating parts. 350° rotation on elbow and wrist joints. This thing is a f*cking monster.

A droid that actually aims to kill. That's rare for Star Wars.

Din: "Not bad... for a droid."
IG-11: "Agreed."

A couple awesome details I noticed after a couple rewatches:
- his arms compress from the recoil so the guns don’t fly upward
- the large pair of eyes rotate, find a target, and as his arms spin around and lock on they’re already searching for a new one before he’s even fired at the first

I love how they made a throw away character from the original tridge such a badass.

You see how they balance each other's flaws. Mando lacks IG-11's strength, power and accuracy but makes up for it by being more flexible and improvising.

1:33, the details in the mechanism of this droid is astounding.

It's just hilarious because it shows how strong a real AI would be in a fight. Organics will be so outclassed.

I love this scene in the first one. I was so so schooled to see such a big action scene in the first episode of the Mandalorian by such an iconic droid never seen in action before.

IG-11 is like RoboCop in the Star Wars Universe. He never miss his targets. Such a badass droid to have on your side and Goes down like a Ultimate badass in the end of the Show.

I like how Djin actually has to take cover in this shoot out. What bothers me about later shoot outs is that all the characters just seem to stand out in the open and shoot, even if they're outnumbered by enemies. Action becomes boring when main characters don't even have to act like they're in any sort of danger.

0:35 I love that ig11 doesn’t even flinch when getting shot like how a real robot won’t react to taking damage and just attempt to proceed with whatever task it’s programmed to do.

IG-11 is so bad ass, using his multiple "eyes" to track and spot everyone AND be able to shoot them as you would expect a computer/robot would. Gets hit, doesn't act hurt and when the odds are bad gets out of the way. so well done.

Damn after season 3 this looks like a masterpiece. The camera is always moving, good music fills the space, and their is actually a sense of urgency and danger, Mando is actually stressed out instead of calmly speaking. Really well done!

3:50 I love it when he has that “oh shit moment” right after he talks about shooting their way out and takes a moment to think of something else. I think that’s just priceless.
