I also highly recommend doing side quest as they become available. If you wait to do them you can end up with way too many littered everywhere making it confusing tedious and sluggish to get through them. They are also written to be immediately relevant to what's happening in the story so waiting to do them can also clash with the tone of what the writters were going for. If you are going to do them save yourself the headache and do them as they become available.

Disagree on “wasting points”. You can respec at any time all the time if you want. Spend them.

For trophy hunters grinding IS required, you have to max out all the abilities and Eikons and even with two playthroughs it won't be enough AP without grinding for awhile.

The "don't craft gear" warning is honestly unessecary. I was swimming in materials and that was after crafting every weapon and armour piece, including pieces I actually didn't need as my gear was already better.

I think the only thing I disagree with is the 'dont craft' in early game. I constantly found myself having an abundance of crafting materials. They just throw them at you constantly with little use for them so I had no problem crafting/getting the +2 weapons in early game without having to buy anything from Charon. I didnt do any grinding at all for materials at any point in the game and the only time I spent gil on materials was to craft excalibur.

If you want the platinum trophy you need to do some grinding as you need enough AP to upgrade everything on the skill tree. You won't get that even through New Game+ without grinding.

An enemy's stagger multiplier goes up mainly by the amount of stagger damage an ability does
Shiva's Diamond dust is notorious for instantly maxing the multiplier on larger enemies, so using Garuda abilities/abilities that hit fast+often isn't always the best option if you're looking to maximize the multiplier in the shortest amount of time

Idk which FF's you've played before, but you don't have to grind for the vast majority of them unless you're doing superbosses.

I ike the garuda ult that thing has max stun, lasts forever, has a huge area coverage, and it almost insta breaks the will gauge . I pop that, do basic sword combos until it breaks, limit break and bust through every other ability combo i have .

Tbh I like grinding especially in final fantasy games because you have those high story moments in the main mission that you can focus on and FF always goes ham with the cutscenes. But when it comes time to grind, you can always turn on YouTube on your phone or something and watch/listen to a MrBallen video or something while you grind. I personally listen to Ballen or Aba & Preach 😂
It’s really fun and always leaves me in maximum chill mode

I disagree on mastery for 1 ability. Will o the wisps applied to Garuda is a perfect compliment to Gouge.

0:25 "You have to grind in Final Fantasy games"

FF6 can be finished at around level 30, which you'd usually get there organically before World of Ruin. They even give you an option to skip EVERY random battle.

FF7 cares more about where your gear and materia is than levels. Once you've focused on a set it's usually mastered by the time you really need it.

FF8 lets you skip random battles and, again, more about Gear and GF setups.

FF15 can most definitely be finished comfortably without doing many side quests, much less dedicated grinding.

To save me going every game I remember, it is NOT required. Does it make it EASIER? Yeah, that's the point.

Those are the words of someone who hasn’t played them

Ring of timely assistance is included with ring of timely strikes. Very useful in early game. Both equipped cancel each other out. GG's

I really like this game but it’s like an action game using FF lore

I miss the days of casting cure or protect etc

I disagree with one aspect of grinding: the ability points. once you get later on into the game you'll find out you don't have enough to upgrade and master the abilities you want to use with the eikon slots, so grinding out the ability points whenever you can is a must. EXP and gil don't matter that much at all compared to ability points

I have played all FF games outside of 2, 3 and 5 and I have never once felt the need to grind. Only during post game content. I have no idea what people are doing when they play. These games are all very easy to get through. Even 8 disincentives you to grind as enemies level up with you.

Bro the ring is so upsetting honestly. I really don’t like controlling torgal. I have so many abilities that I want to use and combo and I hate that I have to use a ring for him to be useful. I think Torgal AI should be a toggle setting. Not an entire slot that I lose for the games length

I completely disagree about crafting, I had such a surplus of materials going through the game it was actually easier to craft new stuff rather than wasting the Gil also there are certain gear you can only obtain through crafting.
