Where Is This Mysterious Noise Coming From?

What is that noise and where the heck is it coming from? The mysterious sound was captured on a doorbell cam in Salt Lake City, Utah at 5 a.m. Neighbors called 911, but no answers were found, though several theories were floated online. Some said it sounded like a windmill, a mild mongoose, or even an alien invasion! But in fact, it turned out to be a slackline, a thin piece of nylon used as a portable tightrope between trees, that was whipping in an intense wind. #InsideEdition

Take it from every horror movie. Don’t go outside to investigate a scary loud sound. That’s always when bad things happen.

Reminds me of a sound I heard in the woods outside of my house one night, maybe 15 years ago. Steady, rhythmic pulsing, much like this noise. Sounded like a gigantic heart beating.

No idea what it was, still.

I live in Salt Lake City and feel pretty uneasy having it be explained away as a “slack line” lol. In what world could that ever be a slack line… I’ve heard similar sounds before up in the canyons at night when camping

Sounded like a freaking ultrasound fetal heartbeat.

If I heard this noise I’d be locking every door and grabbing the frying pan.

It's perfectly rhythmic, there's no way the wind was that uniform for it to be a slack line. It sounds like a spinning metallic object bouncing sounds of it. Not even trying to point toward an obvious conclusion, but imagine a spinning disc.

Let’s give respect for the guy that was brave enough to investigate

This guy, went outside to see what that strange sound is, while he is wearing some shorts... yep, that is the character that will get killed first in the movie.

Edit to the comments:
...no, the black guy doesn't die first, he is there for comedic relief and street knowledge and he usually dies in the middle if he even dies at all anymore.
It is always the cute white couple that dies first in the most horrible way. The boyfriend is all heroic and fearless and he dies first and then his white girl follows because that is her fate. Usually the nerdy white guy is the one that makes it because he is not heroic but smart or something.

It sounds more like the fetal heart rate when doing an ultrasound.

I saw a bright light shoot up from the back of my neighborhood on two separate occasions. It was bright and after it shot into the sky, it stayed lit, like someone was pointing an ultra high powered colorful flashlight into the sky, but like a mile wide flashlight. It was insane.

there is no way a slack line could’ve woken up the neighbors like that

That's what you'd think a spinning ufo would sound like. Lol. Maybe in the 50's.

Slack line cannot create a sound loud enough to be clearly heard in the other end of a phone conversation

The slack line does NOT sound the same. Lol.

That guy walked out in the middle of the night in shorts and no shoes. He was ready for anything. THAT is bravery!
