Mystery shrieking noise coming from NYC building irritating neighbors

A luxury condo building in Brooklyn is irritating neighbors after it's been giving off a shrill, whistling sound -- piecing the relative quiet of the neighborhood.

Some neighbors have compared the sound coming off the building at 347 Henry Street to nails on a chalkboard. And it can be heard for blocks.

That building is irritating in many ways. Why do they keep overbuilding? They keep destroying communities with these ridiculous skyscrapers that don't belong in Brooklyn. It definitley is an eye sore. Smh...

The building is currently strung like an instrument; the taught bars (strings) across the patio (bridges) makes the railings all strum in the wind: the noise is amplifying in the hollow architecture. Anything soft would absorb the vibration, a foam block wedged between the bottom bars and the patio floors would mute the sound: a person could just put their hand on the bar to stop it.

They just had on the news about the very same sound in Brooklyn and a lot of people called 311. When officials came out to investigate, guess what? The sound stopped. I think it is someone doing this.
