Residents and police in one community want to know what and who are behind a series of extremely loud noises that sound like explosions. NBC New York’s Ted Greenberg reports.

I heard these sounds too in the sky, in Senegal around 2014, while I was preparing my children's supplies for the new school year and suddenly I started to hear a loud and strange noise! It looked like either gigantic iron making noise or a gigantic animal moaning painfully. I stayed stuck for minutes trying to figure out where the noise was coming from and above all what it was. At one point I had no doubt that it was from heaven! Until this day I can't stop thinking about it and wondering what it was: magnetic noises? Like a crying earth!

it was so weird to witness this especially since a few years ago in 2010 and 2012 I also heard some weird noises but they looked more like explosions! The first time I was alone at home in France, at night. I even had the real impression of feeling the vibrations on my bed. I asked myself ten thousand questions that night and I imagined ten thousand scenarios: that we might be building something underground like metro, etc. then I brushed off this idea by telling myself that they would have warned us if it was to make so much noise. Then I thought about some serious things that might be going on outside, but I didn't dare get up to go check outside. Very early in the morning someone visited me and he gave me a funny look when I asked him how it was outside, if there was no mess or destruction in town. Surprised, He answered me no. I asked him if he had noticed or heard of construction work in the city and he answered no. After which I told him what I heard the night before. Finally, I skipped and told myself that it was illusory. Two years later, in Senegal, I hear these same explosions again! I hadn't dreamed the first time in France then. I wondered if my ears were not going crazy but luckily for me this time neighbors also heard these explosions to the point of leaving their homes in the middle of the night, to check what was going on. They talked about it around them and it was my sister who came to tell me about it. I was relieved to know my ears weren't playing tricks on me but I was even more intrigued. Lo and behold, in 2014, I hear that other weird sound from the sky! I started doing research on the internet, on youtube! I realize that I am not the only one and I recognize the noise in a lot of videos but not all! It made me think that there was something weird that was happening without us knowing it: either it was natural, electromagnetic, cosmological, techtonic (I first thought of this having done scientific studies) or not! In any case it leaves to think about the cause. That's why years later in 2021, I never miss the chance to watch videos about it hoping to find out more!

The military and police have the technology to pinpoint a single gunshot in a noisy city. I don't believe they can't figure out the general area where a sound is coming from in a rural setting.

I use to live10miles from a Marine Corp base - maybe every other month we’d get a “courtesy” letter, announcing day & approx time of pending “practice drills” - cuz on that day we’d hear the ‘ka-boom” then the whole house would shake ...😘 w/o those letters would have thought we were being attacked

Omg, my daughter was up one night with my newborn grand baby so I decided to help her out with whatever I could. So as soon as the baby was sleeping we were just talking on the couch when we heard AND felt this loud boom as if an electrical transformer went out. The weather was fine, no wind, and it was calm outside. What rattled us was the fact that we felt it under our feet. This happened at 2:00 a.m. in the morning, and any and all dogs outside started going crazy. I live in New Mexico. We never heard anything on the news, but it crossed our minds that it could be tunnels being constructed.
