Die diesjährige Aufführung Festival der Filmmusik "Hollywood in Vienna 2018" fand am 18.11.2018 im Wiener Konzerthaus in Wien, Österreich statt. Geehrt mit dem Max Steiner Film Music Achievement Award wurde der deutsche Filmmusik Komponist und Musikproduzent Hans Zimmer. Der Oscar-, Golden Globe- und Grammy-Gewinner Hans Zimmer zählt zu den bedeutendsten Filmmusik Komponisten unserer Zeit. Für die einen gilt er als „Rockstar der Filmmusik“, für die anderen als einer der innovativsten Symphoniker der Traumfabrik. Aus Anlass der Preisverleihung sind seine orchestralen Filmkompositionen – teilweise eigens von ihm neu arrangiert – erstmals in einem klassischen Konzertsaal zu hören. Von vielen Weggefährten und Musikerkollegen, dem "ORF Radio-Symphonieorchester Wien" und dem Chor "Neue Wiener Stimmen", unter der musikalischen Leitung von Martin Gellner, wurden die fantastischen Kunstwerke von Hans Zimmer musikalisch zum Leben erweckt.
In diesem Konzert wurden Highlights präsentiert aus der Produktion "The World of Hans Zimmer - A Symphonic Celebration"

Das Konzertereignis "Hollywood in Vienna 2018" wurde im TV von ORF 3 übertragen.
