"..but I never knew that that idea would grow in her mind like a cancer. That even after she woke, that even after you came back to reality, that you’d continue to believe your world wasn’t real.."

"..that death was the only escape."

This is one of the few pieces of music I've ever heard that I feel completely satisfied in calling perfect.

And suddenly I became aware that someone was with me. I turned and looked and behold⸺there was Time, standing behind me, waiting. My heart sank when I saw him. No. No. Not yet. Not now. Not here. I screamed, I cried, I begged at his feet. He said nothing. Nothing. How could he say nothing to me? Is he a mortal? Does he know the heart-wrenching pain of loss? Does he feel the sting of death? Does he know the absolute indescribable feeling of joy when looking at your child for the first time and thinking, this is mine? Does he know the power of love? The courage that a sunrise can give a man? Does he know how it feels to be held by someone you hold dearer than anyone else in your fragile life? He can’t know any of these things. He is Time. He is no mortal. We are his business, his hobby, his playthings. And so I cursed Time. I profaned his name in the streets, and I proclaimed his vanity on my rooftop. Still he followed me around like a vulture chasing a bleeding dog.  He loves us mortals, Time does. He mocks our ignorance of the infinite, he pleasures himself on our disregard of the divine. And so he took me, and I cursed his name as he did. I ripped out my heart and gave it to him on a skewer. I begged like a malnourished dog for more time to be on this earth. I wasn't finished, I told him. I needed just a few more years. Just a few. That’s all. But all he did was laugh at me.

I listen to this song a lot. While doing homework, on the bus, walking. I look around and view the surrounding landscapes. This song reminds me of my past, the good times, the bad times, things I've done wrong, people I've lost, also the friends I have, the good things I've done and experienced. It leaves me feeling changed every time. Never give up. Work hard and stay strong. Believe in yourself. Make the most of life. That is all I have to say.

This song makes me feel something... it makes me want to go out and face the world, to conquer it... It makes me want to achieve everything, to work hard, to get the thing i want the most, to be successful. It makes me want to chase my dreams... i want to live a happy life and i want to leave this world knowing i did everything possible and also to leave something that i have incorporated to and for this world. I want to be remembered.

A few years back i come across this quote from some random YouTuber. It's one of those quotes that stick with you and so that i would never forget it i copied it. Now i will share it once again.

"A perfect musical metaphor of a lifetime. Life begins, slowly builds through experience as we get older. Then the middle of our lives, it gets loud. Most of our greatest experience is there, and then it suddenly slows as you realize your prime has past. Eventually the beat dwindles to a sudden, but accepted end." - YouTuber.

This music is so inspiring. There are hardly any words in the end of Inception and only this music gives you goosebumps. Hanz Zimmer is truly a legend.

Chris Nolan and Zimmerman...both amazing on their own but together have done something truly special.

So easy how music connects us and each other to our emotions, but yet we differ in opinions and fight such meaningless and unproductive wars. We will, one day achieve greatness as a species, I truly believe this, and it would be my only wish in life to see this happen.

Four years later and I'm still not over the fact that this score did not win Best Original at the Oscars. Hans, you were robbed!
