Could your thyroid be the real problem?

1:02 What you can do

In this video, we’re going to talk about thyroid function and the thyroid and estrogen connection.

Women with a hypothyroid condition typically have difficult period symptoms. This is related because of an estrogen dominance situation. High estrogen inhibits the thyroid gland. This happens with pregnancy as well.

What to do:

• Avoid soy
• Get plenty of cruciferous vegetables
• Support your ovaries

I'm still having a unbelievable heavy period at 53 yrs old. I had my thyroid removed 3 yrs ago and lost almost all my hair so I wear wigs. I had no idea about the correlation between estrogen and the blocking of the hormone. Are there any specialist in NY who knows about this link rhat I can consult. The meds I'm taking doesnt seem to help.
