The thyroid gland is an endocrine organ located in the neck that participates in a myriad of systemic processes. On the posterior aspect of such an organ, we’ll find the parathyroid glands.

In the full version of this video, we’ll discuss the gross anatomy of the thyroid and parathyroid glands, structures that surround them, vascular supply, and innervation. We’ll wrap up the tutorial by discussing an abnormal enlargement of the thyroid gland known as ‘Goitre’.
