"I forgot what it is that I knew". That line resonated me with me so much. And I have to thank you since discovering The Futur at the beginning of this year, it's awakened me from a 'design coma'. I have a reinvigorated hunger for learning as much and consuming as much as I can. I feel my arsenal is getting stronger each week I learn and I just need to get my folio up to the standard I believe I can get get it too and then I'll be well equipped for my own future. Thank you.

Something that works for me: Whenever you see an inspiration, don't just save it to a folder. Download the image and tag it accordingly: feeling, emotion, theme, colour, composition. Write down the tags in a notebook. At the end of the day, try to reverse-study by reading the tags again and calling up the image in your head. Now you have studied a response where your mind will pull up these inspiring images you saw once when hearing the keywords again.

This will help you greatly with the free association brainstorm needed for concepting. Let me know if it works for you aswell!

I am very thankful to have come across this talk. I have been in the burnout and self-doubt stage for so long that every day I feel more outdated and invalid in my industry. Sometimes I question why anyone will still want to hire me for a job. When Chris said "I forgot what it is that I knew" made me realize that I am not invalid or being an imposter but I just forgot the value people saw in me and my work.

Very helpful, specially to know that if you're not being the most productive, you have to take a step away and find your way back again.

Thank you for sharing.

Yes! Definitely need to have a process. If I don't have some form of process, I will be all over the place.

I've been a professional kitesurfer, professional online poker player, both top 10 in the world... Now I'm trying to do the same on youtube and as an entrepreneur. It's the process that gets the best results...

This advice is sooo good!

I love your work, Chris! I've learned so much that I can apply in my entrepreneurship. Especially your video about pricing was so good to for me!

This was beautiful Chris. You have always stressed on the process. In all kinds of portfolio critiques and even in other topics. I forced myself to develop a steady process and that has worked very well for me. Anyone who notices my Instagram comments on how I have a nice process and good sketches. I still doubt myself often but the process pulls me through. Thank you for that. 😊

I needed this info!

I think sharing a tangible case study or example of a real designer's process would be awesome Chris!

I'm an independent contractor and I have got a pretty intimidating meeting tomorrow with a room full of corporate representatives, waiting eagerly to tear my proposal, tear my rationale and tear me apart. If I somehow pull through and survive tomorrow, I'll know which video to thank.
