Anything in excess is bad . Including eggs. Traditional Indian diet is varied even if its purely vegetarian . Pulses, seeds, dry fruits, fruits, vegetables, grains, greens, dairy products almost all can be found in a single vegetarian meal . A variety of chutneys, dal in various forms even dahi wada, cooked vegetables, curd, sprouts & salads ... so many other things that come together as a balanced nutritious meal

Never bought packed gran masala, instead go to any local store( Kiryana shop) ask thm to give gram masala packet not grind one.. all ingredients come in one packet, which u can grind at home in silvata little bit thn mixer.

Nothing is clear these days. Including the professional doctors, give different versions. So better believe our ancestors's beliefs.

I agree with your points, except the one about eggs. You said samosas are bad because they are cooked in transfats. So are you blaming the medium or the food? What if eggs are cooked in transfats? Eggs are high in fat and are not suitable for Indians. Yes, ethnicity makes a difference. Indians have a tendency for hyperlipidemia. Having high levels of cholesterol compared to other ethnic groups like Europeans.
