Bro it's not the way to lube your chain... Lube is applied in a chain to protect it from rusting...So the part of the chain which mostly gets rusted is the side part...So you should mainly apply it on the sides of the chain and a little bit in the middle...

(You are lubing outside part of the chain).
BUT outer part of chain usually covered on dirt, sand, muds etc.etc.
I think mine, it's MORE EFFECTIVE.😅
