Muc-Off is cycling and motorcycling’s care and maintenance household name. The brand was founded in 1994 when Rex and Marylin Trimnell, owner of X-Lite at the time, needed a cleaner they could rely on to keep their bikes clean and corrosion-free. After designing and manufacturing the world’s first twin crown bicycle fork, Rex created a perfectly pink spray to clean his kit and it wasn’t long before word got out and Muc-Off was born. 25 years later and Muc-Off has developed its product range to include every bike cleaning solution imaginable alongside a huge range of tour-winning lubes, bike protectant sprays and a whole lot more. With some of the best athletes in the world crash-testing our products and providing valuable feedback to Muc-Off’s team of expert product developers, you can rest assured that your motor is in good hands.

It really is the best lube I've ever used.. however none of your videos mention that the stuff needs three to four hours to completely dry so that it performs at its peak. It's not an issue for me since I clean my bikes after the ride and they can dry overnight.. But I see a lot of people making videos on YouTube with your lube saying to leave it on for 15 minutes and then wipe it off and you're good to go..

Since this is wax based lube, does the chain have to be totally clean of oil based lube before applying?

Didn’t see it mentioned but this lube washes off easily with plain water. Great for cleaning, though not super good for wet riding… Cleaning chain and cassette is super easy.

How often should dry lube be reapplied?

Using the muc-off dry lube. Have been finding that the chain is pretty dirty after 25km even after doing a deep chain clean and re-application. Im worried my chain is wearing quickly. Im lubing the day before a ride of 4+hours before a ride. Any insight?

I cleaned my chain and all transmission thoroughly, let it stay for 24 hours, went for a 40 km road ride. The chain became black and it looks like the lube hasn’t dried and attracted dirt from the road. Don’t know what to do

How many kilometers does a lubricated chain last? my usual ride is from 60-120 km almost every day and I don't want to lubricate the chain every day.

Hi! I currently use this lube and I like it! In the future I want to wax my chain, can I still use Muc Off Dry Lube on longer rides when I cannot rewax my chain?

Awful lubes - unless you like a thick, black grinding paste wearing out your components, splattering you and your bike, and general slow riding. AVOID ALL muc-off lubricants and treat yourself to Silca super secret, Ceramic speed UFO drip, Squirt, Smoove, Rex Black Diamond, Effetto Mariposa Flower Power, or Tru Tungsten and thank me later.

Awful video, this guy has no idea how to use this product properly. Shame on you MUC-OFF, you made great product without any good user manual for it.

I have been using this product for over 3 years. I use masterlink on all my chains on all my bikes. I allways take the chain off the bike. I always thoroughly clean the chain first. I use gasoline 95 for cleaning because it is the cheapest and cleans the best. After cleaning, I dry the chain in the sun and wind or let it hang by the stove. I carefully apply the lubricant to each joint from both sides. I leave the chain for a while to let the lubricant soak into the links. I pull the chain over my fingers at least 20 times, so that it moves well and soak lubricant. I leave the chain for a while longer. Then I wipe the chain with a clean cloth. I put the chain back on the bike.

I clean and lubricate the chain after every long ride. If the ride is shorter than 100 km, I repeat the procedure after 2 or 3 rides. I use several chains and alternate them. If I don't have time, I use an already cleaned and lubricated chain. I always pay attention to the cleanliness of the cassette and gearbox and the entire drivetrain.

I always change the chain with a new one, when it is stretched more than 0.3% to a maximum of 0.5%. Changing the chain is very important to avoid wear of the chainrings and cassette. The chain is a consumable, it needs to be replaced several times with a new one
