I just got into the whole mechanical keyboard thing and lubing switches. I had one switch which had a noisy spring ping so I did it exactly the way you showed it in this video and gone is the annoying spring ping. Now I am going to do the other switches as well. Thank you Betty from @switch and click!

I did this method for 90 switches and as I had no oil based lube, I used krytox and donut lubed the springs.

Every single spring.

The results came out great but it was absolute pain as it took forever. I'll use a bag and super lube next time

This video helped me a lot. I don't have the special tool for opening so I easily opened them with a flathead screwdriver. I don't have lube so I used dielectric grease. I followed the steps in the video and the result is remarkable. Thanks.

Someway some how i managed to bend a copper leaf and wriggle it back to where it was and it worked fine…but only on one of the two switches i did this to 😂😅

Wait, I thought you had to lube the other parts of the switches? Would you get a better outcome if you lubed the other parts of the switches rather than just the housing and spring?

Does the sound will stay forever or do you have to refresh the key after a couple of weeks?

I have no super lube or krytox 105 oil, but I still want to bag lube my springs. What alternatives can I use? I have krytox 205 though. Can that be mixed with water or smth for bag living springs? Pls respond thanks.

All the videos on custom mech keyboards keycaps switches lubes and nothing about Spring sizes & G weights? 🙉 So I'm asking what is the size & g force weight of stock RK84 Red Switches? Thank U

Dipping is a terrible idea. Try it guys and you will see. If you want thocky sound, just manually lube the housing base (side of the spring post) and put all the springs in a plastic bag and mixed the lube in there and shake. Then buy a cerakey key caps + tape x3 your board. Guaranteed thocky 100%. Donut dipping gives you a terrible sound.
