Granulation

Drying and Cooling
The granulated fertilizer is then conveyed to the drying section, where excess moisture is removed. Following drying, the granules are cooled using a rotary cooler, ensuring they attain ambient temperature. This cooling process is essential to prevent caking and maintain the structural integrity of the granules during storage and transportation.

Subsequent to cooling, the granules are screened to segregate any oversized or undersized particles. The screening process ensures uniformity in granule size, which is crucial for consistent nutrient distribution when applied to the soil. Additionally, a coating may be applied to the granules to improve their handling characteristics and prevent nutrient loss. This coating often comprises materials like clay or polymers, which enhance the durability and longevity of the fertilizer.

Quality Control and Packaging

Samples of the fertilizer are regularly tested for nutrient content, particle size distribution, and other critical parameters. Upon meeting the specified quality standards, the fertilizer is directed to the packaging unit. Here, the granules are packed into various sizes of bags, ready for distribution.
