Normally, in the digestive tract you break down protein from the stomach that turns into amino acids that are supposed to go through the liver and there are certain byproducts that occur with those amino acids; ammonia and urea. Urea is the less toxic form of ammonia.

This proves my own internal theories. I came to my own conclusion that my body was to alkaline. So I listened to my body and bought ACV and ate alot of garlic, now I feel much better. Then I found this video and it just confirms my theory. Thanks Dr. Berg, appreciate you :)

Dr. Berg... I just want to say how much I appreciate all your videos... particularly the ones that pertain to healthy liver function. I was recently diagnosed with NAFLD and have had it for quite some time... I'm actively working towards reversing the condition. I find your videos quite helpful and informative. I would LOVE for you to just do a whole series or even start a second channel dealing directly with this issue, as it affects so many people... I'm hearing stats like 20% - 30%!!!

I'm researching the keto diet while knowing I have NAFLD and I'm scared of how to move forward. I just watched a previous video about fixing the liver so I am not going to eat any more sugar, add lots of greens, use only good fats... but I don't know enough about whether I should move forward with a keto diet or how to get into ketosis while not adding more fat to my liver. So overwhelmed at the moment but I appreciate your work in helping so many people get healthy

Dr Berg, I have autoimmune hepatitis. Lucky me. Can you do some videos on this subject? No one ever talks about autoimmune hepatitis, I fast, do Keto as much as possible. I'm low carb and stay away from sugar. My problem is when you tell someone about autoimmune hepatitis they automatically bring up drinking and drugs, it's frustrating. Fibroscan showed the very beginning of Cirrhosis which also frustrates me because I had to start taking Budesonide to keep the inflammation at Bay and it's messing with my blood sugar Please make a video addressing autoimmune hepatitis if you can.

My sweat tends to smell like ammonia on occasion. I tend to eat a fairly high protein diet so I typically give that as the reason for it.

I used to have a decent tolerance and enjoyed alcohol in my 20s. But In the past couple of years, the negative effects I get from alcohol is quite a lot, so much so that I've quit drinking. Could this be from a bad liver? On a side note, I don't seem to be exhibiting any other symptoms that indicate a bad liver.
