This should never happen… people could lose lives and FBI states “it was a mistake “ like he got someone a coke and not Pepsi

A mistake like that deserves federal compensation for defamation and harm caused

Have you ever tried to tell someone online, they have the wrong information? Even when it’s been 100% fact checked, with irrefutable proof… there is a huge portion of people (esp on Twitter) that will not “buy it” and continue to spread disinformation. This is actually really scary for that family.

Imagine if that guy hadn’t seen the news that morning and went about his day. No telling how his day would have ended, probably would have got fired from his job and everything

Wow! I mean yeah we all make mistakes but that’s a huge one. I’m glad the FBI took responsibility without hesitating that they were wrong. I’m sure the gentlemen must have panicked. 😢

02:20 except you didn’t. Someone called panicking because you used their photo and luckily they saw it and convinced you that “hey you screwed up.” I like how they try to act like they found it on their own though

This is absolutely unacceptable.
Someone else’s photo was used on a news story with my name in it. I was accused of dishonestly supplying a fake photo. A family member with the same name was ridiculed at work. The person in the photo was credited with my work.

Get your sht together people.
