The Preaching Humanist is about:

-Promoting positive atheist culture and secular humanism as healthy alternatives to outdated, supernatural beliefs
-Normalizing atheism by putting a human face on that which is being demonized
-Informing atheists that visibility and awareness are the keys to acceptance in a very Christian culture
-Defending the First Amendment principle of the separation of government and religion
-Giving answers to questioning and doubting believers

The Atheist Roundtable is a special segment of TPH where David gets together with his fellow activists to do an hour long dive into a single topic.

If only we could all concentrate on the humanist parts of the archaic beliefs of religion.
Nice job David!

The rarer positive humanism is something I could largely get on board with. The much more common aggressive secular humanism that spends most of its time and energy complaining about religions, and can't get past that to actual development, no.

Hmmmm. I have to disagree with some of your definitions David. I’m a Unitarian Universalist minister who identifies as a religious humanist and I do not believe in a god. I place value in progressive religious communities, I feel comfortable utilizing varied languages of reverence, and do not believe all religion to be bad or corrupt or useless.

All that to say, one can be a religious humanist and NOT identify as a liberal Christian. First time watching you though and pleased to see what you’re doing!

So Secular Humanism is a non theistic philosophy (religious belief) that seeks the betterment of humanity.
