What is "religious humanism"? All religions are concerned first and foremost with pleasing God or the gods, and what is good for people is secondary at best. If you ask religious people why x, y, z is morally good, you will almost certainly get the answer "because God" or "because Bible", and not because it benefits or harms people. It will only benefit/harm people as the secondary cause, i.e. avoiding sin or get into heaven. Humanism is concerned with direct and demonstrable effects to people, i.e. suffering caused by AIDS.
