1. Minecraft itself was made 12 years ago so it's impossible for you to have a hardcore world.
2. There can't be such a long bedrock hole (unless it's a rare glitch)
3. It can partially be seen in the biggening of the video that it's written 'set own gamemode to survival' in the chat
4. If by sheer thought it even is true you can still use your Water Bucket to escape
