Greeks didn’t intermarry much with the Turks, Seljuk or Ottoman, they remained a distinct population in Europe until the present. There were barriers of religion and language. My grandmother was an Ionian Greek, birn in the Ottoman Empire just before it collapsed, and my grandfather was a Dorian Greek, from the Peloponnesos. Interestingly, our surname/patronymic, is an Italian one. Many Italian and Frankish groups fought for and settled land in Greece in the Middle Ages, which probably accounts for it. Probably some Anatolian Greeks, especially in Eastern Anatolia, did intermarry with Turks after converting from Christianity to Islam, eliminating that one barrier. Language assimilation was probably easier. But, Ionian Greeks, those in Western Anatolia, didn’t.

I don't know wherre you got your numbers but you make severl mistakes. First there is no such thing as slavic or greek DNA. there are haplotypes and seond, the so-called slavic DNA is a mix of migrations from south to north, not the other way around. we know ths because genetic diversity decreases as we go from Greece to the north.

Greeks are one of the most continued and compact races in the world from ancient times. If you want a serious (the most serious and full and most scientific in the world until now) study on the subject, and don't want to spread misinformation and western or any other propaganda, or gnosiological errors, stereotypes (such as about the Slavs) and prejudices, search and read the book of anthropologist and historian Ares Poulianos "The origins of the Greeks" (and his other books). You don't know of what you are talking about.

Modern Greeks are the same ppl and race from ancient times with some natural changes of time and some mixes but essentialy they are the same race without significant changes in the core of their anthropological type.

Greeks also are mostly indigenous to Greece and the general Greek Mediterranean space from very deep prehistoric times (minor Asia is Greek too from ancient times. Only very recently lately in history it became "turk" after the genocides and progroms of Turks to the Greeks of Minor Asia and not only, that are in reality Greek lands) as Ares Poulianos proves with hard core scientific data from anthropology (greek word by the way, as many others) .
And it is not only Ares that proves that. Just a name, but his is the best on the subject
Also there is something else nation from dna study etc from that perspective all people come from amoebaes and are all just ...animals, so what one examines in that approach and mentality is mostly zoology...and not so much of "history" - but it seems that exist still many animals to approach some things as animals (dna by the way is not the best way, at least not always and not alone, to determine one such subjects, or lets say not the only one. Anthropological data of skulls and bones and about faces etc can be far more accurate or "trustful" many times for many reasons) . Most nations are more or less modern construction or far more recent from Greeks. And this has its great importance on the subject because one can say a modern nation or race when in reality imposes on the past something that didn't existed as such (for example for the Turks or others). When this is not the same for Greeks as we are the FIRST nation (in fact WE CREATED that "concept", and term, this civilizational collective identity reality with the characteristics we still now today except of a "central power" "common state" - that is not sufficient enough reason to consist a nation, in reality many times is the opposite and especially for ancient time realities, thats the reason why the birth of nations in the other world came after the revolution of ppl of West to absolute Monarchy and "empires" "common states" of that kind, when in the Greek case is not the same, as we already consisted a nation and our war of freedom was against a foreigner, a foreigner cultural collective identity that has been imposed on us - that Greeks had (a state in that sense) in the Alexandrian times and the Greek Byzantine Cosmopolis... )in the world, and most ancient/continued

And we dont have "DNA from Italians" etc as you say, them they have Greek dna because from ancient times Greeks lived there with their colonies (from 2000 bc the Minyes, a Mycenaean tribe was there presence there and can be traced as it was found near the city of today Napoli, that by the way was founded by Greeks) . Not only in Italy. The same goes for others too. What do you think that those suddenly they "disappeared " ? Well they didn't... Thats why many modern southern Italians say that they are Greeks. And they have to a percent right! (Some they still speak Greek! From the ancient times! )

My DNS results display only 4% from Levant and 7% from Iran/Caucasus, the rest 89% Greek/Italian so his video is close to reality
