You should also use Multi-Factor Authentication and Application-Whitelisting. Also, nobody (including owners, managers and admins!) should log-in to administrator-accounts. Mail-Clients don't need admin-rights. Admin-rights should be acquired individually for each action that needs admin-rights.

It's not Michael's fault he and his company got hacked. The password he used complied with the password policy. 2FA can and has be breached with sim swaps and server leaks. The company that leaked the data dump should pay for the damages. And we should all be living in the woods to stop cyber crime, as that's the only option that works 100%.
