I just updated the insurance on my pole barn. The increases in steel and lumber is a real rip off. Thank the Lord I only needed plywood to mount the electrical panel!

Ive been getting quotes on a 40x60x14 with 18 inch overhangs, gutters, a 4 inch concrete slab, and some insulation in WA state...About $110k before tax not counting land prep or wiring...The costs are getting insane..

Joshua Mendota has
concrete piles cast 10'
into the ground, and
tornado rooms built in.
How about yours?
Wind load? Snow load?

I priced a pole barn exactly the same as yours, 40x60x16, minus the electrical, insulation and interior finishes because I was going to self perform that part. In Oregon shell and concrete...$170k. Second quote...$150k. Me doing site work too. Needless to say, I’m waiting. Highway robbery!

Honestly, I was expecting worse. But I had stopped following studs around October and am dismayed to see current prices. :(

Hi just found your channel and I really like your content. I am planning to build either a metal building or pole barn. Any thought on cost differences and advantages of each? Thanks

Does your price include labor to install

That still doesn’t sound too bad that’s a really nice building. Here in the part of Texas I’m at it’s almost double that for a building that size unfortunately

I have a 90ftx120ft pole barn indoor arena with stallsI have to fix the rafters in that's going to be fun not looking forward to that have all the crap to do it bottom of the rafters are 16ft off the ground I have a 30ftx60ft shop, a machinery building 20ftx60ft, double wide mobile home, 2 carports on 7 1/2 acres I have 80.16 acres above Klamath falls Oregon nothing on it yet it's all flat land power at the street houses across the street people living up there I'm planning on building another barn because there is no space to put all the hay and shavings and not enough stalls and no wash rack for the horses I'll build it myself I know how it's not that difficult

Heck that's a DEAL!! I Payed 65K for a 42X64 barn, 12 foot high. No porches on it, only one overhead and one walk door. That did not include 6.5K of dirtwork or the 23K for cement. No electrical or finish inside.

Wondering if one could general contract one of these themselves and hire out labor instead of giving 50k in profit to the thieves
