I'm 66, divorced 8 years ago, and lost half of everything. I'm happier now. Why go back to being just an ATM for someone who doesn't love you?

Cause we're sick of their shit, and i like my pay check

It’s too risky. Why stick your neck out for someone who could be here today and gone tomorrow with half your house and half your pension that you worked hard for. And your peace of mind

A wise man once said, " If you ever get tired of being happy, get married". That says it all right there. As for me, I am good being single.

It is just not worth it. One failed marriage and divorce has taught me all I need to know.

I'm a real widower. My sweetheart passed away last year. After seeing how these women are, I have football and my cigars. That's all I need.

The feminist agenda has done untold damage to the traditional male female relationship.
Same with the judiciary and family courts.
Stay single and have your peace😎

I’m a 54yo Australian bloke & I’m still single for the following reasons… I’m unable to have kids, I’ve been engaged to two single mothers (who didn’t know I can’t have kids) & they both cheated on me after four years. All my relationships have been at least four years & up to 8 years & they ALL ended up cheating on me. I’ve wasted years & hundreds of thousands of dollars on women who ended up cheating on me. Why, now at 54yo & happy with my own peace & quiet would I bother even attempting to date in this current society??

Hit my 50s haven't dated since my late 20s here's why.
If i didn't shop and cook we went hungry, if i didn't clean and do laundry we lived in filth
if i didn't make plan and then pay for these plans we sat around the house and listened to her complain about being bored, i couldn't save money as i had to cover bills because she couldn't manage money, i was younger and hornier so as long as i had a beautiful girl in my bed for sex i just put up with it but a year into a relationship you will start hearing "not tonite", so they can't even provide sex, they take and take and take and give little in return, this little rant covers multiple women from my past.

Mate! You described me - in a nutshell!

Now 69, married at 32, separated at 36, lived alone ever since. One beautiful daughter, son in law and two grandkids. Had wonderful great profession and business, studied, worked and travelled overseas for 3 years, my own comfortable home, have made three beautiful gardens, now retired, half a dozen close friends of 50 years, numerous acquaintances, motorcycle, sail, hike, attend concerts, sing in a choir (concert just last week), actively involved in my community, walk briskly 3/4 every day and now helping parents in their 90's. The urge to 'mate' dissipated long ago.

Independent, not defined or controlled by anyone and enjoy my books, music, internet entertainment and, most of all, peace and solitude. Very very lucky. Life is wonderful. Have to enjoy it while we can.

Life is peaceful being single. Why would I want to give that up for drama?

Be single and be a minimalist. It's great to be asset poor but monetarily rich.
NEVER feel the requirement to justify yourself.
Trust me, you WILL be happy.

At 65, I prefer staying single with my cat, no arguments, just calm and bliss

I'm in my 50s, good looking and well off. Recently dated a stunning 29 year old for 2 months, who claimed I "saved her" She love bombed me, said we were solid, and said she never wanted me to leave her. At last, the woman of my dreams and we were both in love! That was last week; this morning I received a text saying she didn't want the relationship to go any further, and it was over! Funny, kept dropping hints about paying bills, which I pretended to ignore. Guess "love" comes at a price. Even though I saw the red flags, still hurts like hell. Never again.

My brothers best friend early 60’s, owned 2 houses, lived in 1, rented the other. Got married. She divorced him 1 year later. She got 1 of his houses. If I got married and divorced I would lose my business. It’s not worth it. I had a great marriage. She passed away. Last gf ruined me financially, forged my signature on loan docs. Probably was cheating on me. I’m good now. Own a business, condo, 2 cars, zero debt. It’s too dangerous to get married these days for a man.

Because my dog gives me all the love and loyalty that I need. No drama, no bitching, no mood swings.
