“Many absolute proofs” - How many _absolute_ proofs do you need? I would have thought that one - being absolute and all - would be enough.

The cesium argument is hilarious as it's the same as if he'd said "Water has been designed to freeze at exactly 0 degrees Celsius and boil at 100!"

There is a quote from Neil Degrasse Tyson that I couldn't stop thinking about:

"One of the great challenges in life is knowing enough to think you're right but not enough to know you're wrong"

"You will never see an explosion create ... a single thing of exquisite design instead of chaos and destruction".

"I'm going to prove my god!"
Proceeds to talk about things that sound complicated to him and things he doesn't like about science.
Not the sharpest tool in the shed, that one.

-The case for god is air-tight!
-David, is this god a generic one?
-No, of course not, He is alive and...
-I am sorry, David. If this god is around, let him do his own PR.
Thanks.

Everytime someone says that "evolution violates the 2nd law of thermodynamics" I lose hair. Honestly, it's the perfect indicator that they didn't really research outside of creationists books and web sites, and that they don't understand neither evolution nor thermodynamics

The first law of thermodynamics is Don't Talk About Thermodynamics.

8:39 "The odds of winning the lottery are inconceivably low, and yet we are not surprised to regularly hear that someone won the lottery."
This is a great analogy that I'm going to have to remember.

More sweet reason from Paul! No yelling, no hyperbole, just calmly exposing lies and half-truths. Wonderful.

"This will be the most important video you ever watch." Uh, wow, someone thinks very highly of himself.

Oh man, I grew up with this guy. Something always felt off about his arguments, but my church just kinda said "amen" to every argument, so I figured they must be right. My how times have changed

When my son was 3 years old, he had “absolute “ certainty in the existence of Santa Claus. The certainty of a person tells us nothing about the truth of objective reality.

Someone forgot to tell him the Second Law of Thermodynamics only applies in a closed system... And he didn't notice during his half a Bachelor's of research.

I've heard it said that "It takes an order of magnitude more effort to debunk BS than it takes to generate it." It must take a lot of time to make a video like this, good on you Paul.

Aron Ra's series on this guy is still one of my favorites to date.

I think Aron raised this question: if David is so certain of his "proof", why does he disable comments on his videos?🤔

Caesium was not discovered until 1860; so "God's great clock" was not available to mankind for the first 5, 864 years (by Bishop Ussher's count) of human existence. Very helpful!

Davic C. Pack was the individual most responsible for sending me along the path to Atheism. Thank you, David.

I am new to your channel and new to (accepting) evolutionary/natural thinking after being a Christian my whole life until just a few years ago. I love your calm and collected way of debunking things. Your videos as well as other sources are really helping me to unravel all the indoctrination and brainwashing I've been subjected to my whole life. I have always been a logical and critical thinker but it amazes me I went for so long believing in Christianity. I guess when you are taught it from an early age, it is hard to separate yourself from it, even if you are critical and logical about everything else in your life.
