Wah ada toko2 dan restoran/bar baru di Jl Kartika Plaza benar! Toko besar itu jual sepeda motor asal Cina juga. Even Yan's has a new stone sign!

Bubba Gump was too expensive given the Kuta competition which is just as good. People who stay in the nice hotels don't necessarily just pay top dollar for food all the time - they have money but they're not stupid. And, given Bubba Gump has now moved to the Icon at Sanur (so some posters below have informed) then its Tuban lease was obviously up and the Icon shift would have been planned for a long time (an Indonesian poster below has mentioned the lease too).

So Kuta is obviously very busy at the moment - that's the busiest we've seen Jl Kartika Plaza's restaurants for a time - and that's not bad for October heading into musim hujan. Jl Kartika Plaza saat malam pula jarang macet padat, terus restoran2 direkam dalam vlog ini cukup sibuk pasti. Demikian banyak wisatawan jelas masih datang ke pulau Bali which is all good (although Krisna is of course right, the traffic can get stuck big-time during peak periods).

BTW Febri's more basic rooms (termasuk TV sama A/C) are a good last "day/night" place to stay as it's very close to the airport (you won't get stuck in the traffic getting there) and the large open-air restaurant out front is cool with good cheap food and beers. Good for Australia flights which typically leave running up to midnight. Pantai Jerman's Jl Wana Segara is a good place to stay nowadays too - far busier than previous decades and with many warungs at the beach carpark - indeed Jokowi used to stay down there himself!

I think Bubba Gump has moved into the Icon at Sanur

I walked past Bubba Gump only 2 weeks ago and it was open.
I just checked, and as of 14 Oct, Bubba Gump has moved to Icon at Sanur.

Bubba Gumps has been there for many years. I was in Bali 3 weeks ago, and it was open then.

KBC itu dulu langganan saya, sempat ganti nama jadi sol by melia kuta, sekarang balik jadi KBC lagi.
roomnya yang ada di depan sudah direnovasi tapi yg di bagian belakang belum berubah, kolam renang juga masih sama.

Definitely have opened in Icon Mall. But what will happen in the old premises? Maybe another Indian Restaurant, they seem to be very popular in JL Kartika Plaza

That restaurant doesn't look permanently closed as all the infrastructure is still there, just the chairs and tables have gone. Maybe they are doing a small renovation? Or another restaurant will open here, if Bubba Gump has moved to Sanur? If they are really popular, maybe they can have two branches open.
