These videos were awesome! Im 17 and have been shaving daily for about two years now, but i first shaved pretty young at 12, in anycase, i have used an electric razor since the beginning because it was easier on my skin. I had tried all of the other blades, gillette, harrys, dollar shave club, they all gave me razor burn and i hated it. So i sacrificed a better shave for an easier one with the electric one. I had about given up until i heard about safety razors which led me to your channel! Thank you so much nick. You changed my life bro.

Just watched the entire playlist. I normally keep a beard but I'm getting kind of tired of it and lately I been finding it almost zen like when i shave like you I put some music on and really gets my day started right. I've been looking to make the switch to the old school shave style. I was thinking on doing the straight blade but after watching these videos definitely going with a safety razor. Nick, your video series has been very helpful. I just started saving with A safety razor last night and already I am totally converted! I purchased the Jager 89 LBL last night and I purchased some Merkur blades because I did not know that it already had some derby blades in the box... And because I have an addictive personality and I'm like a dog with a bone I saw that inexpensive one touch razor down drugstore and I'm going to go grab it just for traveling because I don't want to take my nice razor yet.... I also purchased a razor rock block and some Nivea per your instructions on your video... I needed a brush and I went to the body shop and bought a synthetic brush for 10 bucks because I am a beginner and don't know if I will know the difference yet. Wow I was at it I got a Vander Hagen shave set that had a bore brush, cup and soap just so I could try the difference.

When I first started wet shaving, I looked forward to listening to music, while shaving. I found out, quickly, that I cannot listen to music while wet shaving. Actually hearing what the blade is encountering provides a lot of feedback, for me. I have learned to make that scraping sound of my beard being shaved part of the over all sensory satisfaction.
