My question has always been ''how is NASA supposed to eventually physically explore other planets when they are not even willing to learn by exploring our own?'' For instance, exploring our oceans could give rise to technologies that would then be used to explore oceans on other planets or moons more easily but as it stands now those technologies don't get that much funding so when we would get on such a planet or moon that has oceans we would likely not have technology already ready to explore it which would at the end cost NASA much more due to time constraints. That's just one example

NASA National Aeronautics and Space Administration... this agency was not meant to explore earth but space.

Complain that the Office of Ocean Exploration Research and all the other agencies that should be doing on earth NASA is doing in space. And consider all the technologies that have been developed from NASA because of what they currently do.

I've often wondered why so much money, time, resources, personnel and effort is spent on understanding planets in some other galaxy, when our own backyard is a complete mystery.
