Let's get this party started! Welcome to our weekly series on pregnancy from a natural perspective.
Why are we starting at week 3? Well, your due date isn’t calculated from the precise moment of conception, but rather from the first day of your last menstrual period—which means you’re not actually pregnant at all during weeks 1 and 2 of your pregnancy.
Week 3, however, is when all the magic happens.
Between 12 and 24 hours after Papa’s sperm meets your egg, your genetic material has combined, baby’s sex has been determined, and your single-celled “zygote” has started traveling through the fallopian tube.
Once arriving inside your uterus—anywhere from 3 to 5 days later—baby will implant into the uterine lining, snuggling deep into the sponge-like tissue, making herself (or himself) a cozy home.

So what's going on with you in week 3? In a word (or two): Not much.
It’s still way too early to detect your little guy or gal via a home pregnancy test—your body likely hasn’t started producing hCG, and most mamas won’t even realize they’re pregnant for several more weeks.
Some women, however, may experience some very early signs of pregnancy, including fatigue, nausea, a heightened sense of smell, or light spotting. Your breasts might also feel full or tender, and your areolas may seem darker.

Hey Mama Genevieve, I have a question if you don’t mind answering. I think it’s the sweetest and most amazing thing that you seem to respond to nearly every of not every comment !
My question is if you’re trying to get pregnant, are there any things to do to during the two weeks after ovulation before you can take a test to help foster a healthy implantation? I’ve had a miscarriage before but at the time I had been severely depressed in the middle of breaking off my then engagement and really bad covid, I pretty much ate nothing for a month but a few bites of bread. Obviously I know not to do that, but any helpful vitamin, specific types of foods etc., tips would really help!
By the way, don’t worry; I’m happily married now to the right man and have come to emotional terms with my miscarriage! The reason I’m asking this question however is because that after the MC, I’ve had a lingering fear of having fertility issues/being infertile and it is terrifying to me for some reason, God forbid. Help! Thanks so much for your channel and congrats to all the ladies out there who are pregnant, God bless to all those beautiful babies and to all the women trying (or not!); sending positive vibes everywhere !

Ive taken a test since 8 dpo and for the past 4 days ive gotten a darker and darker line but its still kinda faint. Ive kinda decided 4 days straight of faint but darkening positives, im probably preggo. Plus, I have all the symptoms.
