Death Note- Rem EXTENDED

I've always really liked this one, it kind of makes me feel pretty bad for Rem.

Even though she technically did finish L off, I always just thought of her as an unfortunate pawn in Kira's plans. It was LIght that killed L, that's how I always saw it.

I just feel really bad that Rem loved Misa so much that she'd make the same mistake that Rem watched Gelus make.... It's all pretty tragic really...

It's ironic that Misa wants Light to love her so much, yet look at how she treats Rem. And Rem still loves her. Even until the end.

Rem is literally the definiton of loneliness, but the way she acts, she seems so calm. She deserved a happy ending.

Rem is the embodiment of devotion and ultimately sadness. She's witnessed another shinigami give his life for a human and she didn't understand until near the end when she too gave her life. Her theme is very reflective of her as it starts out empty but as the song progresses, it escalates to a deeper meaning while still holding the same base of sadness until it finally just...ends.

This episode maded me so sad, Rem loved a human, even tho she knew that could cause her own death, but she kept loving that human even with that, she had a heart when the others didn't, Rem was truly the thing that showed the most humanity in this anime

This is why light is one of the most evil characters in all media. Not necessarily because he kills those he feels deserve to die but because he uses love against people, like he did with Rem who loved Misa, using her to kill L with the threat of Misa’s life. He’s truly despicable.

Rem is my favorite shinigami in the series and one of my favorite characters altogether. I feel like I relate to her so much and I hate how she was used in the end.
