I hate that they got rid of headphone jack

"New experience to the user" 😒

The art of selling you less and making you pay more for the same experience

When he said that apple gave its users a new experience I could only think. “No, I’ve certainly been frustrated with technology before now”.

This guy really guzzled down that Apple kool aid while he was there! Imagine thinking removing the headphone jack from phones "changed the world"

$20 headphones, nah.
Now it's $200 headphones and have to recharge the batteries in them... "progress"

Are you kidding me? I still use my headphone jack. Thank goodness my phone has the headphone jack in it. I don't like airpods and things you have to mess with and recharge or whatever.

The one argument I can think of against a headphone jack is that it compromises the watertight integrity of the phone. No headphone jack means increased water resistance. But the fact they sell it to you for more as a "new experience to the user." Makes me feel like the people in Apple's marketing think I'm mentally handicapped.

The glee with which this guy admits to have found a way to charge $200 more and opened the door for the rest of the industry to use the same abusive practices... makes me angry to no end. Tar and Feathering should be brought back.

5 years of development to remove the headphone jack, no wonder it is taking them so long to build an electric car.

They made more money because you could not use other brand' headphones. Also, people lose their wireless headphones more easily so they'd have to keep buying new ones. Brilliant and ballsy move to increase revenue by making something less functional. One of plethora of reasons why I don't buy their products.

As an audiophile the lack of headphone O/P caused me to never buy an iPhone again. Even if Samsung do the same thing I will never buy an iPhone again because they did it first and if other manufacturers follow suit it's only because Apple made consumers accept it. The concept of forcing worse sound quality whilst marketing Apple Music as a superior producy to competitors because it offers playback quality that you wouldn't even used in a recording studio is a complete joke.

0:53 “given a new experience to the user 😂

The unabashed joy on his face when he said that. So confident that all users want is a new experienced, even if that experience is awful lol.

Apple being Apple. Amazing.

Removing the headphone jack changed the game alright by making it worse. We need to charge our earphones now ffs or buy and carry adapters. Also made simple pleasures like passing the aux around at a house party or the park difficult because now everyone has different connections. Sound quality via Bluetooth also seems worse and cuts out every so often. You fixed what wasn't broken and now Samsung etc have copied. It's annoying and made me chuck iPhone forever. Reminds me of the time Nokia changed their universal charger, which never really worked out for them

The only new thing i experienced after removing the headphone jack from my phone, was pure unbridled rage and disappointment

Lmao I spent $300 on AirPods for the audio to go bust in a year. I’ll take the headphone jacks 😅

They fail to think about the professional users of their products. I use my iPad as a sound module for my synth rig. Without the headphone Jack the whole setup wouldn’t work.

Should I bother watching the full interview? Or is he just going to evangelise apple products?
