Under new EU plans, there is a call to for vegan and vegetarian products to change the name to meat-free wording such as 'tubes' or 'discs'. Ryan Simpson-Trotman, Ian Theasby and Henry Firth all debate whether or not a product must contain meat to be able to call it a sausage.

But why is no one complaining about the use of the word butter for shea butter, peanut butter, almond butter, cashew butter, etc, or the use of the word milk for coconut milk that has been around for thousands of years? 🤔 Sounds like they only have a problem with it when it’s used for special, specific vegan alternatives, almost as if the dairy and meat industries feel threatened by these alternatives…

Why can't people understand that a company can cater for dofferent diets not just your diet! Talk to a chief and they are more than happy to make a alturnative meal for a different diet as it gives them the opportunity to be creative and a challenge beyond common foods.
