Thanks Anthony for sharing your Top 3 and thanks to Appleboom for making this series happen. Anthony, if you struggled to pick 3 then I can only assume the rest of your collection is equally impressive. I think the Lamy looks great in blue. We need Lamy to make them in a few more colours. I'd like a dark green 2000, believe it or not! The Montblanc looks stunning and you obviously keep it well-polished. The Nakaya is just gorgeous as are all of their urushi pens. Waiting 9 months for it must have been difficult.

Very impressive pens. The Lamy 2000 is such an iconic design and is one of the first pens I’ve owned (in black). I really hope to soon become the proud owner of a Nakaya Dorsal Fin 2 in Aka Tamenuri. I have never seen a pen 🖊 n Sterling silver let alone a Montblanc. Thank you so much for sharing and thanks to Jost for coming up with this great series.

While listening to him speaking about the shape of Lamy 2000, it came to my mind that it actually reminds me of the famous sculpture of Brancusi, flying bird

Anthony - As much as I agree that the Lamy 2000 is EXCEPTIONALLY iconic in that awesome Bauhaus style, but for those of us with arthritis hands, it is actually a nightmare to hold onto, simply because it has no flare at the nib-end of the section. Which I personally find frustrating because I am one of those arthritics, yet I love how this pen feels and writes (at least for the first 5 minutes until my hand starts to cramp).

I wish they’d bring back that Blue Lamy 2000 but I hear it was limited to 2000 pens which sold out quickly.
