Kerry, thank you for such great details on why you chose those 3 pens.

Kerry is consistently one of my favorite fountain pen people. I can always count on her for honest opinions about everything. Love your Top 3, Kerry, and especially your honorable mention. Though I have a Lamy 2000, I use my Kaweco Sports (2, and one I WON on the way) every single day! Thank you Appelboom!! Love this series!

Your top 3 pens seem more realistic than the others. Honest statement to me.

That was a joy to watch, Kerry, and thank you so much for sharing. I enjoyed your pick of pens immensely, particularly the Lamy 2000, which I recently acquired and which has quickly endeared itself on me - it's better than I ever dared to hope for.

Thanks for sharing. It's refreshing to hear a top three from a 'joy of writing perspective' in that although you do hold sentimental value to your top three, you do love writing with them and would recommend them to a pen enthusiast to get and enjoy.

I do understand that you adore the Platinum pen. I first bought the burgundy and "had" to buy the chartes blue that you show here. Good video, Joost!

I am happy that You have been included in these videos. I enjoyed your choices. I’ve been eyeing Aurora pounds and wondering if you’ve tried their flex nibs or which model you would recommend that comes with the flex nib. I tend to prefer softer gold or steel nibs. Keep up the good work

Cool choices, Kerry! Great to see the Sport get an Hon Mensh.

Surprised your beautiful Pelikan didn't make the cut, but it's a very personal selection.

Thanks for sharing.

I'm hearing you say "chartreuse" finish and wondering what you're talking about. Chartreuse is a light green-yellow. The Platinum pen is dark blue. Then I read down the comments. The name of the finish is "chartres." It's a French word and it's pronounced "shartra."

I loved the video! I guessed one of them had to be an Aurora Optima, and I thought the third one could be the blue Lamy 2000, but I expected it would end up being the Pilot 823. 😄👍👍👍

I was shocked with #3. I thought it was going to be the Custom 823 or the M805!

Because of your comments and passion for the Platinum 3776 Century, I now have one in Chartres Blue. So, I watched this video to see if you still love that pen and if you love any of my top favs. We got close.
1] Platinum 3776 Century; Chartres Blue, medium nib.
2&3] in a tie at second place are my Aurora Ipsilons; one green (Gina) and one red (Sophia). I ordered one with a medium nib, but it came with a fine nib in a box marked medium. Loved it so much I ordered the second one and love the medium nib on it.
4] Is TWSBI ECO (all five of them) and all have medium nibs and inked with colors to match the pen.
Runner Up award goes to my Kaweco Skyline sport in transparent green or turquoise.

I guessed Kerry’s no.1 would be the Pilot Custom 823. Totally forgot about the Lamy 2000. I own all three of these pens in the identical colour/finishes shown here. Terrific trio of pens.

I remember when I first saw saw that Aurora Optima in Burgundy Auroloide. It was in the early 2000s and beyond what I could afford. I now have an Aurora Optima Mini in the same material and it's a piston filler. A pen friend sold it to me at a really good price. Lovely pen. Maybe someday I'll get a full size one. Although it was a bargain 20 years ago compared to what it costs now. Also love the Platinum 3776 and the Lamy 2000. I tried the Kaweco Sport but maybe the one I have is a dud. Maybe it would be better with a gold nib. The pocket pen I like best currently is the SchonDsgn Pocket 6. Thanks for sharing your top 3 pens plus bonus pen,
