Love how he's talking to the CEO of a supplements brand 😂

I agree that supplements don’t really make a difference for the average lifter, but I’d still recommend getting a blood test every now and then. A surprising percentage of people lack important micronutrients such as iron and vitamin D, which can cause health problems and even mental issues.

Just take creatine and maybe protein powder to help you hit the daily protein intake

Taking supplements is the easiest thing from this list. That’s why people care about them so much, to gain better results with lower effort, which is pretty reasonable.

I'm from a farmers family and all the male family members are strong and big, achieved with only high quality food and zero supplements.

You can comment whatever you want, I'm not gonna reply as Youtube keeps deleting my comments.

The #1 is not even exercise itself. Or nutrition. It's sleep. Sleep is the most important thing for your physical health.

This is great! Highlighting controllable and FREE lifestyle factors over supplementation- controllable if you prioritize, that is.

Why he look like a Dana white variant from the marvel universe

True. I notice almost no difference between taking them vs not taking them. Coffee is one of the only things that consistently makes me feel good.

It’s the vibe, but I would watch a movie with Dr. Mike and Co planning a gym-related heist, some like “Pain & Gain” with the Rock meets “Oceans” with Clooney 😂

I have been working out for 13 years, watched so many bodybuilding influencers, and I have to say this guy has always given the most accurate advices, no bullshit stuff. I always nod my head agreeing while listening to him.

Got it. Now steer this conversation desperately needed for men over 60. I lift heavy weights, 3 X per week. Getting some cardio, check. But, what I have found so far, that's made an impact to my strength and health, has been the Carnivore Style of eating. I can go many hours between meals, have the strength to hit the gym after 8 hours on the job. The fat is starting to melt off, and my joints never hurt. At 64, I believe I am on the proper nutritional path.

I take one scoop of protein at 0900 after 2 cups of black coffee and then I eat a half cup of cooked rice and half cup of roasted broccoli and a single chicken breast around 1130. Salad with deli meat and oil/vinegar as dressing around 1630. Rest of the day is just water. Saturday though…..Saturdays meals don’t count so we don’t talk about Saturday.

No way; I would never be where I am without protein powder or creatine because I literally could not eat that much each day

There are only 2 supplements to care about, protein (if you can't get enough in your diet easily) and creatine monohydrate. Those come after everything he mentioned here though.

I was rock bottom deficient vitamin D, supplementing D3 changed my life.

‼️(maybe yes)... ALTHOUGH, please let me add that I've personally managed to reduce my PSA count throughout my last 3 blood screens from a risky 12.68 down to an acceptable 4.3 by adding *pumpkin seed oil* amid a couple other revisions to normal daily life of a 68 yr. old.
Being that it's repeatably down from a high cancer concern, I'd say there's some things that should still be investigated until an individual with his doctor can conclude verifiable benefit or waste of $$.
Still, always appreciate Dr.Mike's studied advice.

Quality Sleep, Food, Stress management, Training and CONSISTENCY are essential. All the other nuances won’t matter if those essentials aren’t met.
