Hi! yesterday I changed my nano sim card from my Samsung galaxy note 9 to my iphone 12 pro max, everything was fine but I got a notification on my iphone saying that I would have to change the settings so I could use itunes & face id! Could u give me any advice on this please?? 😀👍

my salesman did this with my iPhone 7 and put into the iPhone SE they are similar. I can use both iPhones now but I cannot register the new iPhone with straight talk. Not sure about security reasons about doing this. The new iPhone with the new chip is in your name I would think because of the bar code on the box with the new sim card in it. Makes me wonder now did the iPhone i purchased not come with a new sim card? or did the salesman keep it to sell it. Why doesn't apple just make them all come with the chip built in? My salesman wouldn't put the new chip into my new iPhone. I don't understand why bother having new chips with new iPhones? if we can just put the old chip into the new iPhone? Now straight talk has no idea i have a new iPhone and can't fix the government Emergency Notifications sound. Also why can't we change the sound of app notifications?

I have an unlocked iPhone SE (the original). I bought it on Amazon because at the time it was cheaper than the one in the store. Now I need a new phone because they are phasing that one out and my battery is bad. Do I have to buy another unlocked iPhone to switch the SIM card? I’m not changing carriers or my phone number. Can I also transfer my data and do all of this myself without going in the store? Would the phone be functional and make calls? It would be much better than going to the store because of the pandemic. I can always get a new SIM card for it from Verizon later for that reason if it’s possible to do it this way. I’m thinking of upgrading to the iphone 11 or the new SE 2020.
