Don't Try The Moose Test...

The moose test is incredibly sketchy. Cars try and dodge a fake moose and see how well they can handle. Usually, it doesn't go well...

Haha probably because the Citroen is a cereal box on wheels, most of the weight is the driver lmao

It probably doesn’t flip because of the low center of gravity caused by the driver’s massive steel balls

The Xantia performs so well because of its hydraulic suspension, which were one of the best on the French car market at the time

"you'd have better luck in a Citroen"

*shows a Citroen flip out earlier in the video*

Citröen has always been the master in the suspension engineering game, damn they even gave Rolls Royce permission to use one of their suspensions in their cars.

The way peoples from the states pronounce Citroën is pretty scary 😭🤣

They actually don’t drive as fast as they can, and here’s the result google showed me:”The car to be tested has one belted person in each available seat and weights in the boot to achieve maximum load. In order to qualify as a "pass" the vehicle must successfully navigate the course at 72 km/h (45 mph).”

In India, the highest scored by a car in this test was the HONDA JAZZ, i-VTEC in it's finest.

it is funny how the older sedans performed better than most of the other vehicle stack they've tested so far

The cars do not simply "go as fast as they can" like you said. They all go at the exact same speed that was set by people who designed the test. You wouldn't be able to properly compare the cars if they're all travelling at different speeds. I cant remember exactly how fast they go but I think its around 70km/h

I've done this in EVOC training! It was in a 2019 Dodge Charger Pursuit. It was very fun, and gave me some very useful "evasive driving" experience.

It's not about what's under the hood, it's about who's behind the wheel

The crown Vic actually did phenomenal on the moose test. There's a reason they were the police interceptors for so long

The biggest problem with the moose test is there is no braking, in a swerving situation like that an attentive driver would break, hence why cad companies care less and less about it

Its called the moose test because its exactly what you need to do if your about to hit a moose. Your cars height is only enough to take out the legs leaving a thousands pounds of moose crashing though your windshield…

It's not like the SUVs are going to be the ones that don't pass.
