Needing Help With Shaving.🪒💚

I have difficulty with motor skills, (dyspraxia) which can make it hard to tell when I am pushing too hard on my own skin. ❤️ It affects many other things in my life as well, like my handwriting, and even holding my cats! (I am rather bad at this, even after years of practice.) 😅🤷🏻
I asked for help with shaving because I was hurting myself, and there is no shame in needing help. ❤️ Having my Mom do it for now can help me by showing me how it is supposed to feel, so I can get better at it at my own pace. 💚💚💚💚
Do you ever need help with things like this?💜

"Smells like green" I love it when things smell like colors, it's such a special experience

Just remember that people pay for someone else to shave their face when they go to the barber, so don't ever feel bad about having your mom help you out with it 😊

Hey Mama Wolf, this is a shout-out to you! You are so awesome - willing and able to do so much to support Toren. AND you also pay beautiful guitar. 🎵

Seeing a momma help her boy online just shows how truely comfortable the boy or man is with himself. Us mommas to sons with disabilities or not are helping our young and grown boys like this on a daily basis

I’m autistic too and I’m the type that’s too stubborn to ask for help and like doing work “my way” I won’t ask for help until it’s absolutely needed even more

Good job not being ashamed for asking for help! I like to learn how to get around my own motor problems by asking someone to narrate their movements as they do it, even asking for descriptions of the pressure. That way I can practice with their instruction in mind (like a leg where no one will see if you make it look weird). Good job mama for successfully shaving SOMEONE ELSE’S FACE!! My stress levels would be so high.

Hey Toren never let others make you feel bad letting others help you shave. My partner who is autistic and has dyspraxia find it hard to do it too so I have to help him. He hates that I have to do it for him and keeps apologising every time. But I really like helping him do it. Same for other things that use fine motor skills like tying bows and such. He finds shaving relaxing which is why he doesn’t like my help sometimes. So I let him get as far as he can and just touch it up afterwards ❤
You are so amazing to bring such insight to these things and normalise it for people like my partner.
You do you and be proud 😊

I'm so happy to hear someone else describe a smell with a color because it's the best way to describe some smells and no one ever gets it when i say it. Green is by far my favorite smell and I'm happy to know atleast one person understands what that means.

Edit: everyone always says green smells like grass and like, yeah but I'm not talking abt *that* green, im talking abt green like a cabin in the woods, cutting eucalyptus trees for a wood heater, flowy white nightgowns. That dark slightly desaturated green that smells so calm but still is strong enough to mask so many bad smells

Learning to peel various fruit and veg helped me with pressure control

I strongly recommend using a shaving brush and bowl. In my experience, the brush creates a superior lather, resulting in a smoother, more comfortable shave compared to applying cream by hand. This method is less messy and significantly improves the shaving experience. I regret not discovering this sooner.

I think i was diagnosed with dispraxia when i was diagnosed with autism and adhd. Or they thought i didnt because my parents taught me handwriting for a while so my handwriting wouldnt turn out like my dads. I can now do art better than most of my family!

I suggest using something such as art or writing to help build motor functions
