When a DA mentions prison during a criminal trial, it's an immediate mistrial. This is basic training 101 for any lawyer. When the Judge calls it outrageous, it's an understatement. What a sick last minute gimmick to get a mistrial. I hope the Judge specifically denies a mistrial and, the DA should consent.
