How 2,000 Tons Of Dijon Mustard Are Made Each Year In France — Vendors

While the rest of the world goes through a shortage, Edmond Fallot, the oldest Dijon mustard factory in France, is unaffected because it uses 100% French mustard seed from the region. Using those local mustard seeds, it produces many varieties from old-fashioned Dijon to blackcurrant and basil-flavored mustards.

It's impressive that they held a family business for three generations so successfully. They really stuck to their vision and quality of their products.

Never thought a video based purely on mustard production would make my mouth water so much.

This is by far the best mustard I’ve ever had. It’s not even kind of close. The walnut one they make is absolutely amazing when cooking a prime rib.

A few years ago James Martin did a show where drove around in a Citroen 2CV around France and did regional recipes like hero Floyd. He went to this exact same factory and the guy demonstrated to him the mortar and pestle method he does in the video, then of course James makes a mustard ingredient dish outside the factory. Love it

Funny because I buy Mailles Dijon mustard since years but I always thought it would be consider a cheap/low-quality product in 🇫🇷 ! I just recently realized lots of French use it !

Cheers from San Diego California

Still my favourite. Have to thank my grandmother for it. White bread, headcheese and dijon mustard...

On our way back from Southern France we made a stop in Beaune to spend the night & buy some musterd there! They have plenty of tasty types of musterd. Worth a visit.
