The two settings I changed that helped me feel comfortable in this game.

1. Upped my ADS sense. Played on .80 in MW3. Playing at .90 in BO6

2. Switched my crosshairs to static. My first shots were night and day when I switched to static.

Definitely some good settings in this video that I didn’t think to change even after watching other content creators. I’ll give them a try. Thanks Lachy.

VIDEO SUGGESTION
Cover how/if sensitivity/ADS sense can be adjusted to compensate for the nerfed aim assist at close range. I have like 20k hours in warzone and am a top 0.1% player by all stats. I realize sense is slower in this game. I was a 8-8 player and I’m now on 10-10 with ads multiplier at 0.85. When an enemy crosses my screen at a high speed and within the ~3m threshold where we get no AA it’s like I can’t even turn fast enough to continue tracking them. I’m a mega sweat so I’ve never really had issues tracking people trying to break my camera. Aim assist slows down your aim so logically with no AA I should be able to spin faster than previous cods and if anything I should be over correcting my aim like an MnK player. But even on 10-10 I’m routinely feeling like I can’t even track fast enough to stay on someone trying to break my camera. I’m wondering if in the old titles in instances where someone was breaking your camera, the rotational AA actually accelerates or stacks onto your own stick input effectively making it faster instead of slower which would explain why I feel like I can’t track fast enough. I’m wondering if we can mitigate this issue by adjusting sensitivity settings. My aim and sense feels perfect everywhere except in those close range instances where someone tries to break your camera.

Great video. I’m a 3kd sweat already using almost these exact settings but I learned 1-2 new things to try like lowering right stick deadzone to 85. In theory I can see how this can be useful especially for multiplayer where snappiness is most important

Thanks, TTB! These suggestions changed EVERYTHING for me, and I no longer feel like smashing my controller through my monitor. Cheers!

I adjusted some of my setting to these and then tweaked them down a bit, I have found it a bit more fluent in a private game v bots, need to go live to see what they can really do.

I set my settings in the Training Area. Then, i fine tuned my settings over the course of playing the Campaign. By the time i hit Multiplayer, i was diving around corners like a natural.

I’m going to try this setup. I got a new controller. Never played on a controller in COD. I like how much more comfortable it is sitting at my PC. I do a lot better on Mouse as far as accuracy and movement but controller is nice to have when I want to relax my arms. I’m having a hard time at long range and staying on target while ADS and firing at the same time.

I did all these settings and it’s like night and day how much better it feels

Ok the biggest change that made a difference was the aim response curve, going from 1 to .80 works A LOT. Nice catch there!

The movement feels really off. Sprint/tac sprint seems really inconsistent. My operator sometimes feels like he’s moving through treacle. First CoD game that I’m struggling settings wise.

Thank you for the video. Getting use to the change can take some time.

Hi Lachy! Great video! One area I'd love you to cover is to learn how to quick scope with a sniper rifle. I know I could never be as good as you or Stodeh, but some tips and practice tips woud be great. Thanks and keep up the great streaming!

On the sprint assist, for those who want to stick on auto tac sprint. Play around on the delay and don't just set it to zero cuz of sprint to fire delay of tac sprint vs regular running. I noticed that even with slight move forward when I'm moving to head glitches or corners the reaction to sprint to fire gets me killed more than I anticipated.

Set it where you feel like it's activating fast enough but not instant. It benefits you more than you think cuz of how map designs and time to engagement this game have.

This may be a bit long, but you asked. My problem is highly aggressive/mobile opponents that break my aim in CQB.

My setup is PS5 with a 27 inch 1440p monitor, running the game at 120hz. My FoV is 108. I play on a Dualsense Edge. For MW3 I used the standard curve with sensitivity at 16 H/12 V. For BO6 I'm trying dynamic curve with 20 H/15V. My ADS sensitivity is currently at 0.5 but I've experimented with as high as 0.75 and as low as 0.25 over time. If the multipliers work as expected, then my horizontal ADS sensitivity (20 x 0.5 = 10) should be slightly higher than the upper limit of your proposed value (12 x 0.8 = 9.6) and yet I still feel like I'm too slow to rotate.

Imagine a clock face, and my aim starts at 12 o'clock. If an enemy appears at 10 or 11 or even 12 and tries to tac-sprint around me clockwise while really close (3m away or less) then I can probably track them and blast them. However, if they start at 1 or 2 o'clock then I often feel like I can't get the reticle to catch up to them. I slam the stick to the side but my reticle trails behind them and I get knifed. I really don't want to try to raise my sensitivity any higher because my precision is already suffering after about 25m, but I still feel too slow at point blank, and that makes for frustrating deaths.

I'm curious to see if you have any suggestions to improve aim speed, or otherwise to shut down ultra mobile opponents that are trying to break my aim.
