There’s different types of night busses and I think I took the cheapest one with 4 seats in a row, by Willer Express.

It cost me ¥6990 to get from Tokyo (Ikebukuro, Sunshine City Bus Terminal) at 21:50, to Osaka (Tennoji Park) at 7:15, which is the standard schedule!

I’d probably never take the night bus in any other country (maybe China), but it felt very safe because nobody gets out of their seat unless it’s a break time.

🙋🏻‍♀️ Would you ever take the night bus? Or would you just pay the little bit extra to be more comfy and save time?

I was a poor exchange student when I went on a night bus, and I got the cheapest one, so I got NO sleep since there wasn’t any leg room. The one you got looks amazing though. The day bus I went on before was similar to it.

I am a tall female. In Thailand I took overnight train with a hammock and I was on the top bunk with a close able curtain. Kept suitcase by wall. Felt very safe slept great!

I take night bus for my 8 hours travel to home on weekends. It's sleeper too so I get on the bus at midnight and sleep then wake up in my home town. I waa so scared in the beginning because I was a single woman traveler. Of course I ran into few scarey moments but most fellow humans are generally good people so I had help❤ thank you kind strangers

bro I’ve taken a fair few buses (around europe) in my time and that is hands down the most comfortable one I’ve ever seen

Used the same one from Willer Tokyo-Kyoto and back and I loved it. I was sleeping so deep I didn't even notice we were stopping at rest stops lol. The thing I liked the most was that they covered all windows and the front after the driver. In Europe we sadly don't have such comfortable night buses, also our seats don't recline much

I regularly took the regular express and super express trains from Okayama to Tokyo or Shizuoka, saving lots of money, and relaxing with some awesome music on my iPod, and watching amazing landscapes float by. It would take around 8-12 hours, depending on connections, etc. but was way cheaper than Shinkansen, and seeing landscapes like those in Totoro down between Okayama and Kyoto was WAY worth the time.♥️👍

Busses here in Estonia dont have these umbrella thing and we dont have those separating plates. We have screens for videos or music and those charger ports.

I took night buses in Taiwan, Mexico, Germany and Poland. While I agree that it’s cheaper I’m really a fan of arriving early in the morning without a shower facing the long day of sight seeing 🙁

Hehe, I have a special spot in my heart for night buses. I took one in Vietnam, which had a late night and early morning pho stops for food. It had two lanes of walkways between bunk beds, and before the morning pho stop blasted out crazy eurotechno at loud volume to wake everyone up. Absolutely hilarious.

More women need to do this. I have a long history of walking alone after work at night, and so far. I am still alive. I mean, depends on what area you are in the world of course, but most of the time. No one is out to get you. Just make it look like you are the real danger, and people leave you alone.
