Would love to see that hip offered up.
Do you not allow for dropping or backing the hip to allow the common to run through.
Such a pity you over cut the heel and seat cut.

after all if it's getting sistered to a joist covered with sofit an hidden with drywall you will not see it and again the value is where it's sitting

I use a hand saw or Jig saw to cut Birds mouth. Skill saw weakens the wood

If common pitch is 7, hip/valley won't be 7, right?
