Imo the reason for the drawn circle is a nice confirmation of how well this idea works for when the saw performs the cut. I think of it as a before and after. If one doesn’t have a need for the drawn circle, then simply bypass that step.

What about the hole to drilled to get saw in? The edge of hole is now messed up. Does it not matter or do you go back with something to fix it if needed?
