Can You Have Multiple Characters Saved At The Same Time In Cyberpunk 2077 - More Than 1 Character

I was getting a lot of questions asking me if you can have multiple characters saved at the same time in cyberpunk 2077. Does creating a new character delete your old save files or old character progress cyberpunk 2077.

It should have it like skyrim where different saves are in there own little "folder"

Xbox only allows 12 save slots and when I started a new character, it deleted my old one since I forgot to go in and manually delete. I had over 70 hours of playtime and POOF it's gone. What an absolute joke considering they make this game so replayable. Games in the 90s had better saving tech than this.

**Important** FOR CONSOLE: Trying to have multiple saves on console is nearly impossible because they have such a small file limit for actually loading your saves. this means that a manual save can quickly be bumped down to far for you to "load" again by the auto saves on your new profile. So if you are on a console i would recommend using a new profile to make a new fresh playthrough safely without risking your previous one.

FOR PC:
you should be able to find any of your manual saves at any time. i personally went back to my 24 hour normad save after 95 hours of a street kid and was able to find and play it without issue.

Thats pretty cool but they should really put in sub folders in 2077s location and separate saves by character creation date because if you're someone like me who saves often, youre gonna have trouble finding your other characters LMAO

By the way - if you have multiple saves for different characters, they saves will evenualty just delete/overwrite the other character saves (PC). Learned the hard way ....

The saved files will disappear after a certain limit from my experiences on PC. There’s a solution to this (on PC) which may help others. Go into your File Explorer and then proceed through the folders named
-Local Disk (C:)
-Users
(choose your account)
-Saved Games
-CD Projekt Red
Then you'll see a folder named Cyberpunk 2077. Rename it to instead say Cyberpunk 2077 followed by (the name of the original character you have). Next, create a new folder named Cyberpunk 2077 followed by (the name of the next character you want to create). After deciding which character you want to play at the time, first edit the name of that character's folder to only say Cyberpunk 2077. Go into the game and you will see only that characters saves. When wanting to play the other character, reapply the first character's name back into that folder and go to the other folder where you'll erase it's name leaving it to only say Cyberpunk 2077. THE GAME ONLY RETRIEVES SAVED FILES FROM THE FOLDER SPECIFICALLY NAMED CYBERPUNK 2077 BY DEFAULT!!!

The question is, will anyone ever find a way to apply different save to different character(same path and gender) so typicaly change our appearance only?

I've just lost my 60 hour nomad save. Started a new corpo save file last night and was 3 hours in. During these 3 hours, the game continued to auto save as there is currently no way to turn this off in the settings. However the problem is the game can only hold certain amount of saves at any point, including manual saves, auto saves and quick saves (unsure of the max number). If you play for any longer than an hour of 2 on a new lifepath, the autosaves will overwrite any previous save files. I found this out the hard way!! My 60 hour nomad progress is all gone! Replaced by a bunch corpo autosaves.

I play on PS4 and I have three saves, all different life paths and I play the simultaneously to see the differences between the storylines. Works fine as with other games where you can have multiple save files.

My saves for my other character went away when I built up saves for my main one

Guys for PlayStation or Xbox after like 8 saves the other ones delete so either play on another account or keep backing out after every mission and go back to your other account and save again

I dont think this works, or at least not on consoles. I manually saved my first character then started a second one. My load game screen only shows my new character and deleting saves doesn't bring back old ones to the list.

It would be easier if each profile had its own little folder of saves because you need to have multiple saves just in case the game brakes and you need to go back a few saves
