How To Improve 3D Printed Overhangs (Tips and Tricks)

Показать описание
In this video we discuss 3D printed overhangs and ways to improve them. These are only a couple ways to help manage overhangs on your 3D prints and we experiment with them to see what the out come is.

❗️➡️ One trick not discussed was COOLING and that is because it could be a video by itself. COOLING does play a major factor in overhangs and there will be a video on that in the future. Fan setting was 100% for all test in this video.

I am new to 3d printing and am trying to calibrate overhangs as it has been messing a few of my prints up. I am confused, while I know that adjusting the orientation CAN fix the issue, why would you adjust the angle for this particular test itself which basically negates the whole point of having the 45+ degrees?

Man I have been watching so many different people trying to figure out better ways to print and finally I stumble upon you, you finally have shown me the things I needed to know. Thank you

The lesson with the filament is so damn important. I've waisted full spool trying to figure it out only to realize it just prints different. Stick with one brand if possible, configure it, and save headache

I would suggest using some software like nvidia broadcast for clearing up the audio a bit, it can do wonders in reducing/removing background noise while still leaving your speech clear.

Thank you!!! I'll be back after I unpack my Prusa time-capsule: shame on me. I ordered it from Prusa at least 5 years ago and its still wrapped up in two shipping boxes. Should I buy a newer version? I think the one I have is an MK2S, or something like that.

I print a lot of stuff with PETG in vase mode, so increasing perimeters and adding supports isn't really possible. I've found that increasing line width gives great improvements, in addition to cooling fan.

Hey, you just saved my day. I had a lot of issues dealing with overhangs and this video saved me. Appreciate the work.

Uuhh... Dude.. Changing the orientation of your overhang test defeats the purpose of the test! You're supposed to change settings so you improve the quality of your maximum overhang. But you do you I guess.

Does print quality roughness depends upon raster angle in ender 3v2

Good video, thank you. What kind of part cooling duct are you using? I'd like to try it out. ✌️

You should be more known in the 3d printing community! Nice video!

i found that with my ender 3 pro i can increase the overhang angle to 70 degrees by actually speeding up the printing speeds in the settings by 25%

So how does orientation apply to more complex structures? You rotated 50 degrees but does that mean with your 1.2 wall thickness you would always rotate 50 degrees to improve print quality?

My first video watching you. Just a friendly tip, I watched you talking to yourself! Look at me (the camera iris). That way you are looking at us and so speaking to us.

Just Use adaptive layers. Solves almost all problems (and adds just a few new ones ;) )

If I understand, where you said 'wall count' you meant wall thickness. Am I right?
