VW TRANSMISSION SHIFTS HARD VALVE BODY REPLACEMENT FIX

Hey guys, in this video we will show you how to remove or replace the valve body on VW GOLF Rabbit or VW Jetta MK5 with the 2.5 5 cylinder engine. This might even be helpful on VW Beetle Valve body. We demonstrated on a 2007 VW Golf Rabbit with 2.5 engine. After driving the car for 10-15 minutes the transmission will warm up and it will start shifting really hard.

In most of these cases I’m see, it’s just your tcm and ecm that sends your can in limp mode, under the carpet on the passenger side is your ecm, and driver side is your tcm. Due to poor weather stripping, moisture and condensation builds straight puddles underneath your floor board, go to the junkyard and pull them with matching numbers. It worked for my old Passat 3.0.

Did you have to preform any kind of adaptation for the transmission to reset back to factory defaults and allow the computer to relearn?

Great video! What are the torque specs on the bolts and the tightening sequence?

This was a (sort of) "recall" by VW on 2004-9(?) Passat's, Golf's & Jetta's & Beetles in the usa with a rather stringent and spotty acceptance at the dealerships..some did / some did not offer the repair people were pissed! ...Looking forward to watching your video..

Would a bad/faulty valve body cause the vehicle to not move in any gear? I recently got a transmission DTC of P079500, it has me going crazy because I’m trying to figure out if the transmission needs to be removed to replace torque converter or potentially whole transmission.

Man I guess I’m going to have to try this. 06 beetle. Very hard shifting after warming up. The fluid didn’t look awful. I can’t believe you didn’t take your watch off😂
If I do this I’ll give you an update!

My vw Passat 2007 has hard shifting when I accelerate hardly. But in normal speed it shifts good. Do you think it's because of valve body or solenoids?

I have a 2006 Jetta 2.5 salvaged just picked it up from the auction. When it’s cold it’s fine when it’s hot 1st-2nd gear shift hard 3rd slips and reverse bangs hard also. Again when it’s cold none of that happens you think I need a new value body ? Thanks
