In today's video, I give my opinion on the best location to start out in Conan Exiles as well as where I generally tend to build my starting base.

Just got referred to this video from your latest video, and it made me chuckle, because I go to this same location every time I play too. Only I build in the middle of the lake north of the Shaleback king, with a bridge to land. It makes purge defense a snap.

This is a great place, buddies of mine set up at our game and I can see how its really great. I love to be right below the Hand of the Maker, there's a small flatten area that you can use to funnel purges as well as a place to put the fish traps. Lots of meat, iron, coal and stone all around. A short jaunt to gather thick leather, elephant and rhino calves, crocodile bosses, chitin, and brimstone at sinners refuge with lots of opportunity to grab named thralls there and the surrounding camps Claw of Jhebbal Sag, Kol True Strike, steeltoe, even named cooks and alchemist. Its location is central and near unnamed city. The problem is star metal and black ice but honestly, just have an outpost up north near ymirs delusion and you're good to go as well.

I usually keep my speaker volume between 40% at night, and 60% in the day, and I had to crank my volume to 100% to hear you at a normal speaking volume.

Yes, I agree, about base location being great. But you mentioned 6 chest in the city you can loot. That number is off by a factor of about 3. There are at least 24

You need to rebalance your mic with the background music. Voice needs to be louder, music softer.
