Lesson 1) Don’t start a war unless you are sure you can win it.

In fact, it may be the opposite of what the title suggest: Russia's Invasion of Ukraine may have spared China of a disaster. For all that has been said in the video, all the disastrous consequences Russia is facing will certainly act as a deterrent for China, and thus prevent them for having to go through similar consequences.

the most important reason of all is that China doesn't want to conquer an island reduced to rubble. They might want Taiwan's tech, but they certainly wouldn't get it by force. Besides, if Taiwan's microchip industry was destroyed China itself would be the first to suffer

Russia's operation has gone so badly they've resorted to creating a new battalion that specializes in tactical shovel warfare.

One thing China's military severely lacks is real-world experience. Say all you want about wars against terrorists vs wars against near-peers, but all of that experience still matters when it comes to planning and logistics. Maybe the overall strategy changes, but being able to field competent troops who can share their experience with new recruits is a mainstay of the US military. There's a big difference between the guy who's experiencing combat for the first time and the one who's seen it before

China does not want to repeat the same situation as what is happening to Russia right now.

Imagine how excited China was to have a stronger and more powerful-appearing ally in Russia to step up to the West with, and now they have a wet dog, pseudo-dependent, and reviled ally they were just talking about being best friends with.

Every person and family all over Europe has had they gas and electricity bills doubled overnight.
No one has said one word of protest. Every one is aware this is the cost of freedom.
This response from the entire population of Europe is unbelievable to the eyes of an authoritarian government. This means that people aren't indifferent, but they value democracy very highly, and they are happy to pay for it. This, again, come as a shock for the authoritarian rulers.
Well made video dear Infoshow, thank you.
Greetings...

One or two more things I think it is very important but was not mentioned: The war dramatically increased the military spending of NATO countries as they realized they are not prepared for a large conflict. Military industry slowly but surely speeds up and when the war is over regardless of the outcome, western military industry will be in full swing, armies getting modernized and ammunition production multiplied, which will have long lasting effect for decades to come.
Secondly the war provides a very good testing ground for western tech vs eastern tech in a modern war. Russia was considered technologically advanced and the Chinese military heavily relied on Russian tech. However on the field it is shown that actually Russia is decades behind most NATO weapons with very few exceptions and the latest and greatest NATO equipment is not even used yet. Currently Russia is working really hard to improve western air defense capabilities with its sporadic cruise missile barrages providing ample opportunities to test new systems.

The war in Ukraine has also reminded world powers about the immense amount of munitions which gets consumed. Western munitions manufacturers will be adding capacity and running full out for years to build/rebuild munitions reserves. This means that these reserves will be available if/when Taiwan needs them.

CCP: "Oh well, that wasn't planned but we can see it as a test run for our Taiwan invasion"
USA and Europe: "We will do everything short of ww3 to keep Ukraine free"
CCP: "Great Putin, you ruined it for us all"

Russia has food and energy resources to support its population. While China, with a population ten times as much of Russia, rely on import for food and fuel. China cannot sustain when their hard currency runs out. Therefore, economic sanction is seriously inconvenient for Russia but fatal for China.
