In the beginning you mentioned you weren't sure why complacency was used to describe that piece of Ikigai where you do what you love, the world needs it, and you get paid, but you're not good at it.
I'm assuming if they mean unawareness or uninformed self-satisfaction, or self-satisfaction paired with unawareness of actual danger or deficiency, then I assume if you're missing the component that you're doing something you're good at then it's possible because you're not good, there's unforseen risks to lacking skill in terms of job security, health and safety. You love it, but by no means are you so good that you're most valued or your pay and the world's need might be lacking, which may affect your love for it and your overall reason for living.
